Shafaqna Pakistan:– Pope Leo XIV has welcomed the reported US-Iran agreement, saying that the upcoming memorandum represents a positive development and expressing hope that it could help bring an end to the conflict.
Speaking to journalists outside the papal residence in Apostolic Palace of Castel Gandolfo, the Pope said: “Thank God, there is at least this Memorandum that they will officially sign on Friday.”
He noted that several issues still needed to be resolved but stressed that dialogue and negotiations were preferable to a return to war.
The Pope expressed hope that the memorandum would become a genuine pathway toward ending the conflict, allowing all sides to move forward in the interest of peace and the wider global community.
