The entire Muslim World is concerned over deepening Yemen conflicts. All the sane voices are appealing Saudia and Iran to resolve this issue through peaceful manner. Pakistan has hinted at calling upon the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to play a role to end the conflict in Yemen. According to Dawn , “To facilitate early resolution of the crisis and to promote peace and unity of the Muslim Ummah, the prime minister will be contacting the leadership of brotherly countries,” the Prime Minister’s Office said in a statement issued on Monday after yet another ‘high-level’ meeting on the crisis in the Middle East. On the other hand in a very welcoming and a wise move Iran is reported to have conveyed its concern to Pakistan over the situation in Yemen and expressed its desire to hold talks on the crisis. The Iranian proposal for a dialogue on the crisis in Yemen and Pakistan’s likely participation in the Saudi-led coalition against Houthi rebels was made at a meeting between Pakistani Ambassador in Tehran Noor Mohammad Jadmani and a senior Iranian foreign ministry official last week, a Pakistani official disclosed couple of days ago.
Earlier Pakistan’s foreign office also dismissed the reports that Yemeni Houthis are being backed by Iran. Pakistan’s foreign office disclosed the Iran wants a policy of non-interference in Yemen. Now it is on Pakistan to covey Iranian concerns to Saudia and compel Saudia to stop strikes on Yemen. Iran’s positive overtures show that country is serious to resolve this issue through dialogues. Saudia need to comply dialogue offer so that another Muslim genocide could be stopped.
