ICC Issues Reprimand to Gull Feroza for ICC Code Breach

Shafaqna Pakistan: Pakistan batter Gull Feroza has received an official reprimand for breaching Level 1 of the International Cricket Council Code of Conduct during Pakistan’s Group A match against Australia in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 on Tuesday.

Gull was found to have violated Article 2.2 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which relates to the abuse of cricket equipment, clothing, ground equipment, or fixtures during an international match.

In addition to the reprimand, one demerit point has been added to her disciplinary record. It is her first offence within a 24-month period.

The incident occurred in the second over of Pakistan’s innings when, after being dismissed, Gull threw her bat and gloves in an aggressive manner near the team dugout. The ICC determined that her actions breached the standards of player conduct expected during international matches.

Gull admitted the offence and accepted the sanction proposed by Michell Pereira of the Emirates ICC International Panel of Match Referees, so there was no need for a formal hearing.

On-field umpires Sue Redfern and Vrinda Rathi, third umpire Jacquline Williams and fourth umpire Shathira Jakir Jesy levelled the charge.

Level 1 breaches carry a minimum penalty of an official reprimand, a maximum penalty of 50 per cent of a player’s match fee, and one or two demerit points.
