Shafaqna Pakistan: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi on Friday paid tribute to the police and district administrations for their exemplary arrangements during Ashura.
He also reviewed the arrangements along the procession routes and commended the district administrations, police, and other relevant institutions across the province for their efforts in ensuring the peaceful observance of Ashura.
“I pay tribute to all the district administrations and the police across the province for their excellent arrangements,” Suhail Afridi said.
He added that mourners had also appreciated the effective and well-coordinated security measures, describing them as the outcome of the dedication and hard work of the concerned institutions.
The Chief Minister stated that the sacrifice rendered by Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) and companions at Karbala teaches the values of standing firmly against oppression, remaining steadfast in truth and righteousness, and making sacrifices for noble principles.
He further said that embracing the message of Karbala is an important need of the time to promote Islamic values and strengthen unity and brotherhood within society.
Suhail Afridi also reaffirmed the provincial government’s commitment to continuing all possible efforts to protect the lives and property of the public and to ensure the peaceful conduct of religious gatherings.
