Martyr Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s body arrives in Iraq
The bodies of the Iranian martyred Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and members of his family arrived at Najaf International Airport on Tuesday in an official reception ceremony led by Iraqi Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian is heading the Iranian delegation, accompanied by Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf and other senior officials.
Thousands of Iraqi security personnel have been deployed around the airport and surrounding areas to secure the ceremony and ensure the safe transfer of the body to Najaf City, where the official ceremony is held on Wednesday morning. It will then be transported to the holy city of Karbala later the same day as part of the funeral procession.

Tehran airspace shut as Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei funeral continues
Iran will fully close Tehran’s airspace on Monday as funeral ceremonies for Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei continue, the Iranian Students’ News Agency (ISNA) reports.
The Civil Aviation Organization said regular flights at Mehrabad International Airport and Imam Khomeini International Airport will be suspended during public ceremonies in the capital.
Mehrabad airport is expected to resume normal operations on Tuesday, while Imam Khomeini airport will remain closed.
Authorities said airspace over the northeastern city of Mashhad, where the final burial ceremony will take place, will also be shut on July 9, with flights at Shahid Hasheminejad International Airport suspended.

The body of Iran’s supreme leader Ali Khamenei, who was killed in US-Israeli strikes, arrived at Tehran’s Grand Mosalla religious complex ahead of his funeral, state media reported Friday.
