Shafaqna Pakistan: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan’s sister, Aleema Khan, said on Friday that the family’s struggle is focused solely on ending his solitary confinement and ensuring he receives proper treatment.
Speaking to reporters outside the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Rawalpindi, she said Imran Khan’s health, medical care and legal rights remained their top priorities. She added that although a court had ordered weekly meetings with 18 designated individuals, the directive was not being implemented, stressing that such meetings were a legal and constitutional right rather than a favour.
Aleema also said the PTI founder had conveyed instructions regarding the party’s movement and organisational affairs to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa PTI President Junaid Akbar, asking him to step down as chairman of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) and focus on the province.
