Shafaqna Pakistan:- Iraq has equipped 209 schools and 150 government buildings with solar power as part of its nationwide renewable energy initiative.
Iraq’s National Team for Renewable Energy Projects announced on Monday that the country has achieved significant progress in expanding solar energy systems across public institutions and essential service facilities.
According to official figures, the initiative has successfully installed functional solar power systems at 209 schools and seven comprehensive healthcare centres across multiple provinces. The project supports the government’s efforts to expand the use of clean, decentralised energy, reduce carbon emissions, and ease pressure on the national electricity grid.
