Shafaqna Pakistan: The Petroleum Division has kept the petroleum levy unchanged on petrol, high-speed diesel and kerosene despite the latest increase in fuel prices.
According to a notification, the levy remains at Rs80 per litre on petrol, Rs70.82 per litre on high-speed diesel, and Rs20.36 per litre on kerosene.
Meanwhile, the government has announced revised fuel prices that will remain effective for three days under the newly introduced daily pricing mechanism.
Under the latest revision, the price of high-speed diesel has increased by Rs31.05 per litre, taking the new retail price to Rs354.35 per litre.
The price of petrol has also been raised by Rs5.44 per litre, with the new rate fixed at Rs316.15 per litre.
Meanwhile, kerosene oil has become Rs34.33 per litre more expensive, increasing its price from Rs242.33 per litre to Rs276.66 per litre.
The government has recently introduced a daily petroleum pricing mechanism, under which fuel prices will now be reviewed and notified on a daily basis.
