Shafaqna Pakistan: Security has been significantly strengthened at the UK’s largest Muslim convention, with several hundred additional personnel deployed and enhanced coordination established with police, emergency services and local authorities amid a rise in anti-Muslim hate crime.
The heightened measures follow last month’s closure of another major Islamic gathering, which ended early after police arrested 12 people, including three on suspicion of conspiracy to murder, over an alleged far-right threat.
