Shafaqna Pakistan: Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman told US President Donald Trump that every possible effort must be made to prevent the Middle East from descending into a wider conflict, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Sunday.
During a telephone conversation, the crown prince underscored the importance of prioritising dialogue to ease regional tensions and called for “all possible efforts” to promote de-escalation, creating conditions for diplomatic solutions with positive outcomes, the agency said.
He added that such measures are crucial to safeguarding regional security and stability and preventing the conflict from expanding in a way that could have serious consequences for both regional and global peace and security.
The two leaders also reviewed ongoing cooperation between Saudi Arabia and the United States and discussed ways to further strengthen bilateral relations.

Majid Ibn al-Reza, Iran’s acting defence minister, said threats are taken seriously “even if made as part of psychological warfare”, according to Al Jazeera.
“We will neither be caught off guard nor remain passive,” he was quoted as saying by Iran’s Mehr news agency. Tehran would use threats as a basis to increase its military readiness, strengthen deterrence and enhance its military capabilities, he added.
