Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has said the recent conflict with the United States and Israel has dispelled the perception that Iran is a weak country, according to semi-official news agency Tasnim.
Araghchi said Iran’s foreign policy following the conflict would be “fundamentally different” from its approach before the war.
He said the confrontation had demonstrated Iran’s resilience and substantially altered how the international community views the country.
According to Tasnim, Araghchi maintained that the United States and Israel failed to accomplish their main objectives during the conflict, including bringing about regime change, compelling Tehran to surrender unconditionally and sparking widespread unrest inside Iran.
Ghalibaf vows Iran will avenge deaths caused by US-Israeli war
Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has vowed that the deaths of Iranians killed during the US-Israeli war against Iran, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, “will not go unavenged,” state media reported.
According to Iran’s state broadcaster Press TV, Ghalibaf said Tehran would use all available capabilities to defend the rights of the Iranian people and respond to the attacks.
He pledged that Iran would work to end what he described as the aggression, punish those responsible and safeguard the country’s honour and standing.
Ghalibaf’s remarks came amid heightened tensions following the US-Israeli military campaign against Iran and the reported killing of senior Iranian figures.
