Shafaqna Pakistan: Mustafa Barghouti, secretary-general of the Palestinian National Initiative, has called on UN member states to impose sanctions on Israel over what he described as violations against Palestinians.
Barghouti accused the Israeli government of continuing what he termed genocide in Gaza and alleged that the ceasefire had been violated around 3,000 times, resulting in the deaths of more than 1,300 Palestinians since the truce began.
He also accused Israeli settler groups of carrying out attacks against Palestinians across the occupied West Bank and said Israeli forces were now targeting institutions affiliated with the United Nations.
“UN member states must take action and impose sanctions on Israel,” Barghouti said, stressing the need for international accountability over the alleged violations.
