Shafaqna Pakistan: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has stressed that genuine implementation of the June 2026 Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) by the United States and Iran is the only viable path to bringing the conflict to an end.
Dar made the remarks during a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi in Bishkek on Tuesday, ahead of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Council of Heads of State meeting.
The deputy prime minister emphasised the importance of dialogue and diplomacy, saying continued engagement between the parties was essential for restoring peace and stability in the region.
Dar also met with Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov on the sidelines of the SCO Council of Heads of State meeting.
The two sides reaffirmed the close and growing Pakistan–Uzbekistan partnership and discussed ways to further strengthen cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.
