Shafaqna Pakistan: The federal government has raised the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel, with the revised rates coming into effect after midnight for a one-day period.
According to a notification issued by the Petroleum Division, petrol prices have gone up by Rs1.08 per litre, increasing from Rs342.79 to Rs343.87 per litre.
The price of high-speed diesel (HSD) has also been increased by 51 paisas per litre, bringing the new rate to Rs370.92 per litre.
The latest adjustment comes shortly after the government had revised petroleum prices for the new pricing period beginning September 1. The earlier rates had set petrol at Rs342.79 per litre and high-speed diesel at Rs370.41 per litre.
The revised petrol price means consumers will now pay Rs343.87 for every litre purchased, while diesel consumers will face a rate of Rs370.92 per litre.
