Shafaqna Pakistan: Security forces have killed at least 12 militants during an intelligence-based operation in Balochistan under Operation Radd-ul-Fitan 3, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.
According to the military’s media wing, the operation was carried out in Kalat district after security forces traced and monitored a militant hideout. The forces then launched a targeted operation, killing all 12 militants at the site, ISPR said.
In a separate operation in Kachhi Bagh, security forces thwarted an attempted militant attack and responded promptly to neutralise the threat, the military’s media wing added.
Several militants were killed during the action, while a large quantity of weapons and ammunition was recovered from the militants’ hideout.
The ISPR said improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and ammunition found at the site were destroyed on the spot.
A clearance operation is continuing in the area to locate and eliminate any remaining militants, the military said.
The ISPR reaffirmed that counterterrorism operations would continue with full force until the last militant was eliminated.
“Security forces and law enforcement agencies remain determined to eliminate terrorism from the country,” the ISPR said.
