Shafaqna Pakistan- A ceremony was held to inaugurate the Hawza School of Religious Sciences named after Grand Ayatollah Sheikh Muhammad Hussein Kazemi in the holy city of Kadhimiya.

According to Shafaqna’s correspondent in Iraq, construction of the educational center was undertaken with the support of Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Ali al-Husseini al-Sistani, the highly revered religious authority of the Shiite world.

The center represents an important addition to the scholarly and intellectual landscape of the holy city of Kadhimiya. It was established with the aim of strengthening the city’s longstanding Hawza tradition and continuing its scholarly legacy—a tradition that, over the centuries, has served as a center for religious scholarship, supported and educated students of religious sciences, and contributed to the dissemination of the teachings of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS).

During the inauguration ceremony, a number of speeches and remarks were delivered on the scholarly and historical significance of the project. Speakers emphasized that the school represents an authentic continuation of the deeply rooted scholarly tradition of the holy city of Kadhimiya, which throughout its history has been home to numerous scholars, jurists and researchers, as well as various religious schools.

The ceremony also highlighted Kadhimiya’s role in the development and expansion of religious education, particularly its use of systematic, in-depth and rigorous educational methods that have historically contributed to consolidating and disseminating the knowledge and teachings of the Prophet’s family (PBUH) and educating successive generations of students of religious sciences.

Speakers described the inauguration of the Sheikh Muhammad Hussein Kazemi School as a new step in serving knowledge and scholarship, and as an important support for the scholarly activities of religious seminaries.

According to the speakers, in addition to its religious and educational role, the school will serve as a scholarly and intellectual center, joining a range of projects aimed at strengthening the position of the holy city of Kadhimiya as one of the prominent centers of scholarship and intellectual life in the Islamic world.

For centuries, Kadhimiya has been an important center of religious sciences and Islamic thought. By hosting scholars, jurists, researchers and Hawza institutions, the city has played a significant role in the dissemination and transmission of Islamic knowledge, particularly the teachings and sciences of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS).
