Shafaqna Pakistan: Security forces killed 36 militants in separate operations across Mastung, Quetta, Kalat and Sibi over the past 24 hours, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.
According to the military’s media wing, the operations targeted Indian-sponsored proxies, including Fitna al-Hindustan and Fitna al-Khawarij-linked militants, as part of ongoing intelligence-based counter-terrorism efforts across Balochistan.
ISPR said six Indian-sponsored militants were killed in an operation in Mastung on September 4. Security forces also recovered a cache of ammunition and improvised explosive devices, which were destroyed at the site.
In another intelligence-based operation in the Shaban area of Quetta district, security forces targeted four hideouts associated with Fitna al-Khawarij. The operation resulted in the deaths of 26 militants, according to the military’s media wing.
The coordinated actions extended to Kalat, where security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation against a terrorist hideout. Two Indian-sponsored terrorists were killed during the raid, the ISPR said.
In Sibi district’s Bagh area, security forces carried out a strong retaliatory operation and killed a further two Indian-sponsored terrorists. The action followed intelligence regarding the presence and activities of militants in the area.
The ISPR said that, over the preceding 48 to 72 hours, a total of 48 terrorists belonging to Indian-sponsored proxies, Fitna al-Hindustan and Fitna al-Khawarij had been killed across Balochistan.
The latest figure adds to the number of militants killed in counter-terrorism operations across the province during 2026. According to the ISPR, more than 1,188 terrorists have been killed in operations in Balochistan so far this year.
The military said security forces and law enforcement agencies would continue counter-terrorism operations under the Azm-e-Istehkam vision until the elimination of the last terrorist.
