Shafaqna Pakistan:- The Taliban have suspended implementation of Afghanistan’s 2004 Constitution, United Nations Special Rapporteur on human rights in Afghanistan Richard Bennett said in his latest report.
In the report issued on Monday, September 7, Bennett said the Taliban had, since returning to power, gradually dismantled the country’s previous legal and judicial structures, which had played a significant role in safeguarding human rights.
According to the report, the Taliban have replaced the former constitutional framework with policies and regulations based on their interpretation of Islam and their ideological objectives.
