Shafaqna Pakistan: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Tuesday stressed the importance of dialogue and diplomacy in achieving lasting peace in the Middle East during a meeting with US Chargé d’Affaires Natalie A. Baker, the Foreign Ministry said.
“US Chargé d’Affaires Natalie A Baker called on Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar,” the ministry said in a statement.
The meeting covered Pakistan-US bilateral cooperation and recent regional developments, with Dar emphasising that dialogue and diplomacy were essential for securing durable peace.
The latest escalation has once again disrupted shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, a key route for global oil and liquefied natural gas supplies.
Pakistan has consistently maintained that diplomacy and dialogue are the only sustainable means of resolving the conflict, while urging the parties to return to the framework established under the June agreement.
