PML-N and PTI are at loggerhead since past few months. The logjam between both the parties has paralyzed Pakistan. All the efforts to normalize the ties between both the powers proved useless. PTI is hell-bent to dislodge Mian brothers from the government while PML-N is leaving no stone unturn to humiliate PTI and spending millions on media to lead a defamation campaign against PTI chief Imran Khan.
The question is why Imran took his men to the streets and why he is hard on in his stance to open four constituencies. The problem is not that PTI lost in general election the problem is the narcissistic injury Khan felt after defeat from Ayaz Sadiq, incumbent speaker national assembly the main rival of Imran Khan in General election 2013. This rivalry did not start from the general election but its history goes to the formation of PTI by Imran Khan and Ayaz Sadiq and than parting ways due to differences. Ayaz’s decision to join PML-N was a major blow for PTI and specially Imran Khan.
Khan was dead sure about his victory over Ayaz Sadiq from Lahore but election results was quite shocking and he lost from Ayaz Sadiq , his main rival. Icing the cake PMLN awarded Ayaz Sadiq from speakership of the National assembly which further enraged Imran Khan and he refused to enter in the National Assembly.
Khan’s problem is not PML-N but Ayaz Sadiq, if in recounting Imran stands as victor, he may shed the path of violence and sit on dialogue table to resolve other issues with Government.
