After series of attacks on Shiite Imambargahs that started from Shikarpur Imambargah, From the scholars to media every one called it a reaction to operation Zarb.e.Azb. Most of the scholars were of the view that since TTP has been pushed against the wall and these attacks are in response to operation against them. They are targeting soft targets like Imambargahs and mosques but the reality is quite contrary. Shiite community has been under attack since Zia came into power. Shittes are, particular the victims of sectarianism. Today Pakistan’s internal stability is at stake and state itself is responsible for this situation. As the State caused sectarianism, it’s now their responsibility to eliminate this menace. For the state all the citizens are equal irrespective of their religious and sects allegiance. The role of the state is to provide security and ensure equal rights for all. Furthermore it is duty of the state to provide protection to all the citizens. State must ensure freedom of religious obligation to all citizens, everyone must be allowed, according to Quaid’s vision, “to go to his temple, mosque, church or religious places”. The problem is that some of the religio-political parties of Pakistan are part and parcel of the government and under the cover of political activities they are targeting Shiite sect in Pakistan. Thus the statements that after Zarb.e.Azb Shiite are under attack is a false narrative. Shiites has been under since the faulty policies of Zia. The genocide of Shiite Hazaras is clearly states that killing of Shiites is not due to Zarb.e.Azb but states double standards since 1979.
