Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Patron-in-Chief, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that at a time when the country was dealing with the devastation of floods, sit-ins were a matter of ego.
Speaking to reporters, Bilawal added that politics of sit-ins was frivolous. The PPP Patron-in-Chief also termed the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) Punjab statement of stopping attacks on Pakistan as a positive step. Bilawal said the TTP Punjab’s announcement did not mean that there should be no action on the acts of violence which took place in the past.
The PPP Patron-in-Chief added that Ali Haider Gilani was still in the custody of the Taliban and he should be released. Bilawal further said that no one could be allowed to carry out terrorist activity.
Bilawal emphasised that there was no question of Sindh being divided. He added that there had been development work in Punjab for the last 60 years and it was not fair to compare Punjab with Sindh.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari announced that he would contest the 2018 elections from his mother’s home constituency.
