Few days back Interior minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said in a news briefing that all the evidences against Imran Farooq murder has been handed over to Scotland Yard and these evidences clearly mention Altaf Hussain’s involvement in murder of ex-MQM member Imran Farooq. Earlier COAS visited UK and met with senior officials there. The purpose of this visit is vivid after recent development. There are reports that ScotlandYard officials are going to visit Pakistan shortly to investigate the suspects arrested in connection with Imran Farooq murder. Both the suspects were identified by the names of Mohsin Ali Syed and Muhammad Kashif Khan, who were staying on student visa in England. But events are taking place in quick succession, which are reflective of the fact that noose around MQM supremo Altaf Hussain’s neck is being tightened.
After the confession of Umair Siddiqui and Sault Mirza, MQM is between hard rock and place. Rangers attack on MQM’s headquarters has pushed the party to the wall. It seems that Altaf Hussain’s charm is fading and before attack on party’s headquarter MQM chief confessed in a interview that he is losing the grip over the party. Whenever MQM Chief Altaf Hussain saw a rift in the party, or felt like losing grip on the party, he started a tirade against military establishment and its agencies. On Saturday, he used vitriolic against Rangers and military stating that they were cowards. After the release of JIT report on Baldia factory fire, which named MQM activist Rizwan Qureshi responsible for the gory incident that killed 258 workers, MQM chief Altaf Hussain went berserk. It seems that MQM is going to its logical conclusion and now some other political force will fill the space that would be created after the death of the party.
