Islamabad Capital Territory police says no crackdown is being launched against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) activists.
Police spokesman said that efforts were underway to arrest workers of PTI and PAT who were involved in attacking state buildings.
He said few arrests have been made, some of which, including that of Asif alias DJ Butt, were made for violating Section 144.
17 gunmen of PAT have also been arrested for being involved in the attack on Parliament House and PTV. Legal proceedings will be initiated against them under the law.
