The myth that Pakistan Awami Tehreek’s workers will follow their leader whatever he orders them finally broke on Saturday when they resisted following the orders of Dr Qadri and took the show in their control by refusing to move the sit-in back to the old place at D-Chowk in front of the Parliament House.
Qadri on Friday agreed to clear the road in front of Cabinet Block Secretariat so that the employees could go to their offices easily and his container, other vehicles and tents were supposed to be removed from the place on Saturday but the workers denied to do so. The PAT workers argued with their leader why they came there if they had to move back. Young workers of PAT, who are feeling empowered by suspending the working of government departments through roads blockage, were not interested to lose their writ in the area and thus they denied to retreat from their present position. The PAT spokesman was found clarifying the position of his party.
Imran Khan whereas proved his control over his team and he according to his commitment moved back to D-Chowk with his container.
The ‘Inqilab Schools’ have also started working on the Constitution Avenue. A few child protestors went to school on Saturday where female teachers took the classes. Dr Qadri on daily basis is giving a message to the government that he and his companions will not go back until his demands are accepted.
The teachers of Inqilab Schools said that the children in the sit-in were suffering in terms of their education so the Inqilab Schools have been established.
Apart from these developments, Constitution Avenue on Saturday was presenting a view of a laundry, as after heavy rains during the last two days the protestors took the opportunity to wash their clothes, which were hanged on the grills of Secretariat and Parliament House buildings.
Dr Qadri in his speech on Saturday again repeated his demands for the resignations of prime minister and chief minister Punjab. He said that law of jungle was imposed in Pakistan and there was no value of human life in the country.
While condemning the murder of Abbas Kamaili’s son, Qadri termed it a failure of the government.
