Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Thursday appreciated the efforts of opposition jirga to resolve the current political standoff, Geo News reported.
Opposition jirga led by Jamaat-e-Islami chief Sirajul Haq called on the Prime Minister in Islamabad today and briefed him about the dialogue process with the protesting Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT).
Senators including Rehman Malik, Kalsoom Parveen, Member National Assembly G. G. Jamal and Secretary General Jamat-e-Islami Liaqat Baloch are part of the jirga who were also present the meeting and informed the premier about the progress and opposition’s demands.
