Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Saturday rejected Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s offer for negotiations and said that he would not hold negotiations with PM Nawaz at any cost.
He deplored Prime Minister Sharif for using today’s national security conference for political objectives and said that why the premier did political discussion in National Security Conference if it was called on the security issues. The government action against PAT workers would be discussed in PTI core committee meeting.
PTI Chairman Imran Khan refused to talk to government before Azadi March and said that now we will talk on August 14. He said that government would be responsible for violence if his party workers were forcefully stopped from joining ‘Azadi March.
The PTI chief said that there will be no negotiation with the government now adding that ‘Azadi March’ to be held at any cost.
Earlier, PM Nawaz Sharif offered talks to PTI chairman Imran Khan, adding that the government was ready to work on any formula for the recounting of votes in 10 constituencies.
Imran Khan in a statement hours after premier’s talks offer, has warned that government would be responsible for violence if their workers were forcefully stopped from joining ‘Azadi March’. He said the Sharifs’ attempts to stifle democracy and disrupt the whole country by closing major arteries, petrol stations and means of public transport will not work.
Khan called on all parties to join the PTI fight for democracy against Baadshahat (Monarchy). No one can play both sides of the fence – the time has come to stand up and be counted: for democracy or for baadshahat.
