Israel a country that has more than four hundred nukes yet it is making fuss over Iran’s nuclear capability which is even not at a stage to make a Uranium Bomb. If we suppose, Iran built a bomb and does not use it except as a deterrent. Both sides could destroy the other. Why would they? And for those who reject the Cold War standoff as relevant, the rhetoric then was just as apocalyptic on predicting mutual annihilation. Definitely Iran is not that insane, however one thing that NetanYahu is failing to understand that if Iran succeeds in achieving this capability, it is possible that Gulf States such as Saudi Arabia may decide to field nuclear weapons to counter Iran. It is also possible that the US might extend its nuclear umbrella over the Gulf as then Secretary of State Hillary Clinton once briefly floated as a possibility. And could Iranian nuclear weapons possibly draw the Sunni Gulf Arabs and Israel closer as both have had coincident strategic grounds for containing a common threat? Gulf’s silence over annihilation of Palestinians in the hands of Israel shows that they want to placate Israel against Iran for a common cause. In this case, the Palestine issue would get buried for once and all.
