This is the story of two countries facing similar situation but it exposes the double standards of the world and Saudi monarch. This is the scene of Syria, which has been under attack since last one year by the rebels. The politically chosen government has been struggling against those terrorist but World including Saudia has been backing rebels against a legitimate government. Here the world specially Arab world and Turkey decided to side with terrorists and support them against elected government of Bashar al Assad. The reason behind this support is quite vogue and non-sense and that is “people of Syria have rejected Assad”. One with a common sense can guess the non-sense in this approach, if people of Syria do not like Assad, they must chose another one.
A few months later the same happened in Yemen and another group engaged in an armed struggle against the government, which had faltered on its commitment of reforms. Here, contrary to their stance in Syria, both Turkey and Saudi Arabia chose to side with the government that was not delivering on its promises. Not only Saudia but UN also imposed arm imbroglio on rebles in case of Yemen while opposite to that provided sophisticated weapons and aid to Syrian rebels. Indeed it is a greatest example of double standards of both Gulf countries and West.
