SHAFAQNA PAKISTAN (Shia News Agency)-NAP

Pakistan despite a terror struck country failed to devise a counter terrorism strategy. For a long time political leadership fooled nation by just debates and discussions and eventually their lapse led to a major catastrophe leading to the death of 155 school kids. After that Pakistan felt the need of such a policy and under military pressure finally a policy named national action plan was devised. After the NAP in action, though security situation improved yet it could not be declared satisfactory. The interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan however presented number of figures to substantiate his ministry’s work under NAP. He said that security forces had carried out over 3,000 “intelligence-based operations” during the last four months in which 37,666 people were arrested, including many hardened criminals. According to him, they included 4,666 individuals arrested for spreading anarchy and delivering hate speeches while misusing loudspeakers.

However he did not confirm how many among the arrested have been sentenced and how many have been convicted? He also failed to mention that how many people have been arrested only in suspicion and what happened to them. How many are being prosecuted or have been successfully prosecuted thus far? He many madrasshas has been brought under reforms and what happened to those madrassahs that were funded by foreign agencies? Being interior minister it is his responsibility to keep abreast people on NAP’s progress. It is their prime right to be aware of what the interior minister is doing to make them and their kids secure.
