It seems that Pakistan did not shun the old bad ways. The concept of strategic assets is still intact. If this concept is not intact, why Pakistan is failing to contain a Mullah, who is constantly defying the writ of the state? Why Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan is issuing statements in favor of Mullah Abdul Aziz. A day before Interior minister stated that Lal Mosque cleric has issued a written apology over his statement on army Public School but the very next day, Lal Mosque spokesman cleared that Mualana Abdul Aziz submitted no such written apology. According to dawn” Spokesperson Hafiz Ehtisham Ahmed told DawnNews that Maulana Abdul Aziz has not submitted any written apology to the police and rejected the claim made by Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan that Aziz has tendered a written apology as “baseless”.
The question is if Lal mosque is denying any such apology, why Interior minister is trying to rescue a Mullah? Do interior minister have links with extremist groups? Why Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan is issuing statements on behalf of radical cleric? Being an interior minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan should answer these questions because it shows that interior minister himself has a soft corner of terrorists.
