Excuse to disclose

SHAFAQNA PAKISTAN (Shia News Agency)

Chairman Pakistan Tehreek.e.Insaf Imran Khan has demanded of Finance minister Ishaq Dar to disclose his assets after news of $ 4 million transferred by him to Dubai. However Ishaq Dar simply refused to disclose his assets. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) has repeated its allegations of money laundering against Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, saying he has transferred $4 million to his son in a Gulf state to evade taxes. The dawn writes that PTI spokesman Umer Cheema in a letter to Ishaq Dar demanded of that “Dar should now reveal the sources through which he had earned the amount. He also asked the minister to explain why the government had failed to bring back to the country “the ill-gotten money belonging to the nation” from foreign banks.

Dar had in the past submitted to a court an affidavit confessing his involvement in money laundering”.

If we closely analyze the demand of PTI is not irrational. Ishaq Dar is a finance Minister and he should clear the allegations against him. Second most important thing in this regard is that if a Finance Minister evades tax, how others can be blamed? The other important aspect is that Ishaq Dar on daily basis inculcates that flight of capital from Pakistan should be and would be stopped but is this not flight of capital? If Ishaq Dar fails to clear his positions he has no right to hold this portfolio.
