Though special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan on Saturday said that the arrest of Jamaatud Dawa (JuD) chief Hafiz Saeed or the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) had nothing to do with the visit of Prime Minister Imran Khan to the US yet it has a visible link.

Pakistan is facing hiccup both at FATF and US pressure for the crackdown on extremist elements and arrest of Hafiz Saeed is in connection with them.

Though the arrest of the religio-political leader of a proscribed party was part of the ongoing measures under the National Action Plan yet US pressure and trust building measures before the visit of Imran Khan to US forced Pakistan to arrested powerful JuD chief.
