First time in its history when Pakistan started to probe into funding sources of Madrassas, it was found that Saudia is the main sponsor of number of Deobandi Madrassas in Pakistan. Donors in Saudi Arabia have long been accused of quietly funding terror groups sympathetic to the kingdom’s hardliner version of Sunni Islam. Saudia has been using Pakistan’s land for proxy war against Iran. Saudia made these madrassas as a part of its geo struggle against Iran to keep its influence in the region. But this proxy war cost too much to Pakistan but no Pakistani leader ever dared to question this funding. Saudia’s role in Pakistan politics is quite prominent and most of the Pakistan’s political leader is obliged to Saudi Araba, even the secular leader like Musharraf also sought support of Saudi kingdom on several issues. When it comes to Nawaz Sharif situation is not different altogether, if it was in his hand, he had made Pakistan a sub state of Saudia in open. In such a situation, is there anyone who will question Saudia about funding madrassas?
