Shafaqna Pakistan : Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa reiterated today that Pakistan would never leave Kashmiris alone at the mercy of the situation imposed on them forcibly and illegally by the Indian government.
Addressing the main event of the Defence and Martyrs Day at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi, he reassured that Pakistan Army would go to any extent for the sake of Kashmir and its freedom.
“Today’s Pakistan gives the message of peace and security to the world,” he pointed out.
“Pakistan has fulfilled its responsibilities in the war on terrorism and now responsibility rests with the world community to reject all forms of terrorism and extremism.”
“Pakistan’s armed forces have not and will not refrain from any sacrifice for the defence of the motherland,” said General Bajwa.
The army chief said, “A peaceful and strong Pakistan is our destination and we are steadfastly moving towards that end.”
Pakistan’s armed forces ensured the security of the motherland by rendering sacrifices both in the conventional war and the fight against terrorism. Pakistan registered unparalleled successes in the war against terrorism. Our soldiers stood like a rock wall in the war against terrorists and foiled the nefarious designs of the enemy. They sacrificed their today for our better tomorrow.”
Defence and Martyrs Day is being observed today to pay tributes to the martyrs and ghazis and reaffirm commitment to defend the motherland against all threats.
It was on this day in 1965 that the Indian forces crossed international border in the darkness of night to attack Pakistan but the nation foiled nefarious designs of the enemy.
The Defence and Martyrs Day is also being observed as Kashmir Solidarity Day to reaffirm the support of Pakistani nation to the oppressed people of occupied Kashmir who have been under lockdown for over a month now.
