End to discriminatory action against azadari demanded

Shafaqna Pakistan: Senior Shia Islamic scholar Allama Qazi Niaz Naqvi has urged the government to end discriminatory restrictions on azadari.

Speaking at a mourning congregation (Majlis-e-Aza), he cited that almost all groups hold rallies or meetings across Pakistan. He further cited that government and security agencies tolerate violation of law and deal with them leniently.

However, Allama Qazi Niaz lamented that the government and security agencies stiffen their policy regarding azadari congregations. He demanded soft government policy towards azadars and azadari.

Furthermore, he asked government, police and other agencies to refrain from uncalled for biased action against azadars.

However, Allama Qazi Niaz also called for preaching true teachings of Imam Hussain (AS)-led Martyrs of Karbala. He exhorted all to avoid controversial speeches during azadari. Instead, he advised that all speakers should preach love for Ahl-e-Bait (AS), particularly Imam Hussain (AS) and his companions: great martyrs of Karbala.
