Shafaqna Pakistan: Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates extended no support on Kashmir despite Indian government uncalled for unilateral measures. Foreign ministers of the two countries issued no statement of support against India.
Notably, the Wednesday one-day visit by Saudi UAE ministers concluded with fruitless meetings. Expectedly, nothing substantial came out of these empty huddles but photo session.
However, Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi tried his best to give an impression of success. In spite of that, failure surfaced.
Why Saudi UAE ministers visit?
Factually, Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan had made telephonic chat with Saudi and UAE crown provinces. He had apprised them of Indian violation of international law and India’s own commitments.
But, the MBS and MBZ had not issued even an empty statement against Indian government over brutalities in held-Kashmir.
Since Prime Minister of Pakistan contacted MBS and MBZ many times, they dispatched their emissaries. In that background, Saudi minister of state on foreign affairs Adel al Jubeir and UAE foreign minister Abdullah bin Zayed visited Islamabad.
Empty diplomatic jargons
As per Pakistan government official handout, they reaffirmed the strategic significance of the relationship of Saudi Arabia and the UAE with Pakistan. They “acknowledged Pakistan’s role and efforts in promoting and maintaining regional peace and stability.”
Furthermore, the handout also quoted Prime Minister Imran Khan as saying that Saudi Arabia and the UAE had an important role on Kashmir.
However, Saudi and UAE ministers had not said a single word on their respective countries’ important role.
Ridiculously, they “fully understood the anguish of the people of Pakistan over recent developments.”
And also are “concerned over the worsening humanitarian situation in occupied Kashmir.”
Unfortunately, KSA and UAE dictated Pakistan in favour of enemy state India.
“Both the countries would remain engaged to help address the current challenges, defuse tensions and promote an environment of peace and security.” But, how and when, it remains unclear since August 05, 2019!
The visiting dignitaries said they were visiting Pakistan on the directives of their leadership. “Both reaffirmed the strategic significance of the relationship of Saudi Arabia and the UAE with Pakistan.
“And both acknowledged Pakistan’s role and efforts in promoting and maintaining regional peace and stability.
“They fully understood the anguish of the people of Pakistan over recent developments.
“And also concerned over the worsening humanitarian situation in occupied Kashmir.
“Both the countries would remain engaged to help address the current challenges, defuse tensions and promote an environment of peace and security.”
Don’t make Kashmir an issue of Muslim Ummah
But, senior journalist Hamid Mir disclosed that the GCC’s big 2 advised Pakistan government to refrain from making Kashmir an issue of Muslim Ummah. Importantly, he claimed that Pakistan government officials share it with him.
However, government handout claimed both sides agreed to work closely in the Organisation Islamic Cooperation and other forums.
On the one hand, FM Shah Mehmood Qureshi had overstated UAE’s role. Shockingly, he had defended UAE awarding Indian Prime Minister Modi highest UAE award when he rejected religion’s role in international relations.
And on the other, now he has agreed with Saudi-UAE ministers for using OIC, a religion-based forum. And at the OIC too, Saudi and UAE monarchies preferred non-member India to Pakistan.
Role of Saudi-UAE monarchies?
Therefore, it remains quite clear that Saudi and UAE monarchies once again dictated Pakistan government. Irnoically, they dictated Pakistan in favour of enemy state India.
Saudi and UAE monarchies dictate Pakistan: Don’t make Kashmir an issue of Muslim Ummah!
Saddening aspect has it that the former prefers India in all respects to Pakistan. Their new dictation for Pakistan is nothing but empty diplomatic jargons on Kashmir. But, the GCC’s big 2 would not issue even an empty statement against India.
