Shafaqna Pakistan:Saudi Arabia and its allies looted more than 18 million barrels of Yemen’s oil exports last year even though millions of Yemeni people struggled to get food and medicine amid the Riyadh regime’s deadly war, the Yemeni oil minister has revealed.
Ahmed Daris said Saturday that the Saudi-led coalition “looted more than 18 million barrels of oil exports last year and sent their money to the Saudi National Bank.”
He called on the United Nations to help release Yemeni oil shipments seized by the Saudi-led coalition.
He warned Riyadh that more Yemenis will join retaliatory efforts against the kingdom if the oil tankers are not released soon.
“Free oil tankers, our people will not surrender to the continued detention, but this will be an incentive to move to frontlines,” Daris said.
On September 14, Yemen retaliated against the years-long war by conducting a major attack on Saudi Arabia’s key oil installations in Buqayq (Abqaiq), slashing state oil company Aramco’s oil output by more than half.
