Shafaqna Pakistan:Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif on Friday said that he would not compromise on the sanctity of vote.
Talking outside the accountability court after hearing of Chaudhry Sugar Mills case, former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said that if they are conspiring to jail those who gave sanctity to vote, then we are not afraid.
This is not a case. These cases are being made against us to take politica ravange”, Nawaz Sharif asserted.
He further said, we would never compromise on rules.
The sanctity of vote is linked to the country’s security, prosperity and development,” Nawaz Sharif contended.
Nawaz further stated that he was a victim of political ravange for chanting the slogan “sanctity of vote”.
Nawaz Sharif said that he extended full support of his party for Fazl-ur-Rehman’s Azadi march, maintaining that rejecting Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman’s proposal to resign from the assemblies was a wrong move.
Nawaz Sharif also read a stanza from Akbar Allahabadi’s poem in conversation with the media which states that “it is better to die with grace than to live with disgrace”.
