Pakistani players have a history of off-field discipline problems. Eight Pakistan players, including maverick former captain Shahid Afridi, have been fined for breaching a team curfew ahead of their crucial World Cup game against India few days ago. Today Pakistani news paper made headlines like dawn writes that “it was learnt that fielding coach-cum-team trainer Grant Luden, dejected over the attitude of some players, tendered his resignation soon after the Adelaide defeat”. The resignation of Grant Luden would be great blowback for Pakistan team , who is already under pressure after 76 runs defeat from India. Pakistan team is already marred with injury problems and playing with some inexperienced players. Tribune added that “ The resignation followed after Shahid Afridi, Umar Akmal and Ahmed Shahzad had a heated exchange with Luden during a fielding session on Tuesday. After resignation of Luden, the already dim chances of Pakistan side to carry the world cup are almost over.
