Pakistan cricket team led by Misbah ul Haq has lost its first match against arch rival India consistently for the sixth time. Most of the cricket pundits are of the views that Pakistan’s side is weaker than ever in this world cup. In an interview to NDTV, “Indian former Captain Sunil has rated Pakistan’s current squad as their “weakest ever in World Cups”, expressing his disbelief at the decision by Misbah-ul-Haq to go into the crunch match against India with a part-time wicketkeeper”. Though Sunil Gavaskar has termed Pakistan team a weakest eleven yet the fact is quite contrary. Although Pakistan has some new players in the squad yet it is equipped with experienced players. Misbah Hul Haq is an experienced captain played over 200 ODI’s, same is the case with Shahid Khan Afridi and Younas Khan. Umer Akmal is also a seasoned batsman, Ahmed Shehzad has proved his mantle on several occasions. Muhammad Irfan and Wahab Riaz have also played number of ODI’s for Pakistan. In the presence of several senior players in both Bowling and Batting end, one cannot simply dub Pakistan a weaker side. Sunil Gavaskar should not forget that same side defeated England in Warm up match. The major problem with Pakistan team is lack of professionalism and will that is required to win a game. While playing one can easily observe that Pakistan player lack the passion that is required to win a match.
