Ireland qualified for the World Cup for the first time in 2007. Ireland beat England by 3 wickets on 2 March 2011 at the World Cup with Kevin O’Brien hitting the fastest World Cup century off only 50 balls. It was the highest successful run chase (329 in 49.1 overs) in World Cup history. Now it is 2015 world cup and Ireland is once again out to shock the world and in their first match they have defeated West Indies, which has rang alarming bells for the top sides including Pakistan, India and South Africa. In today’s match Ireland successfully chased target of 304 runs in 45 over. It shows that Ireland has capacity to process in second round of the world cup defeating better sides.
