Shafaqna Pakistan:US President Donald Trump’s nominee to take a top position at the Defense Department has long been under the impression that former CIA director John Brennan is actively trying to topple the Republican head of state or even kill him.

Retired army general Anthony Tata, who is set to become the undersecretary of defense for policy at the Pentagon, have spent much of his appearances on the media to “expose” Brennan’s plans.

In 2018, for example, Tata said Brennan sent a coded tweet to order the assassination of Trump.

In a 2016 podcast, the retired general called Brennan a “former communist” and “a threat to this nation.”

In another appearance, he said that Brennan “supports the overthrow of this particular president and he needed to have his access to information revoked.”

The remarks came after Trump decided to revoke Brennan’s security clearance in August 2018.

“It would not surprise me if eventually it came out that he was somehow allied with some foreign power because what he’s doing is fomenting the division,” Tata said about Brennan in another 2018 media interview.

He has also referred to what he calls a “deep state cabal” of officials who are working to see Trump fail in office.
