Lionel Messi, the captain of the famous Spanish club Barcelona and a world-renowned player from Argentina, has terminated talks with the club to extend his contract.

According to the reports, Radio Spain said that Messi is ready to leave Barcelona and will leave in 2021 as soon as the contract expires.

The report states that Messi and his father George had begun talks with the club to further extend their 2017 renewal contract, but did not wish to remain associated with the club.

Messi has been quoted as saying he is angry that the club’s coach, Ernesto Valverde, was sacked in January and that news of him had been leaked.

The captains of the club are also tolerant of the quality of the players. Barcelona did not respond to these reports until now.

Messi, 33, scored the 700th goal of his career for Barcelona against Atletico Madrid this week, but the match ended in a 2-2 draw.

The match between Barcelona and Atletico Madrid ended in a draw and Barcelona failed to defend the title.

Barcelona is four points behind Real Madrid in the title race, which still has five more matches, and they have gained more points by beating Getafe 0-1 in the previous day’s match.

Kim Gossi criticized the club’s sporting director, Eric Obaidal, in January this year.

“Our team is not capable of winning the Champions League this season,” Messi said in an interview.

Later in April, he hit out at the club’s board, saying the players were unwilling to accept a reduction in compensation to help end the team’s financial woes due to the coronavirus.
