Shafaqna Pakistan: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that opportunities for peace in the region remain viable and called on all parties to act with wisdom and restraint amid growing tensions in the Middle East.
In a statement posted on the social media platform X, the prime minister expressed deep concern over the recent escalation of violence, saying it underscores the fragility of the current ceasefire and the dangers associated with continued instability.
He cautioned that any further escalation could result in serious and unacceptable humanitarian consequences, affecting both regional peace and civilian populations.
Shehbaz Sharif stated that Pakistan is maintaining close engagement with its brotherly and partner countries as part of ongoing efforts to promote a diplomatic resolution to the crisis.
He added that these diplomatic contacts are focused on securing a lasting and peaceful settlement, emphasizing that the prospects for a negotiated peace agreement are still achievable.
The prime minister called on all parties to exercise restraint and give peace another chance, emphasizing that dialogue must be prioritized over the use of force.
He further stated that the path of violence and destruction would only deepen regional instability, while diplomacy and negotiations remain the only effective and lasting solution.
Reaffirming Pakistan’s stance, Shehbaz Sharif said Islamabad supports peace, dialogue, and de-escalation in the Middle East and continues to urge all sides and the international community to reduce tensions.
