President Zardari, PM Shehbaz call for peace, prosperity on Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH)

Shafaqna Pakistan: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday extended Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) greetings to the nation, urging people to incorporate the teachings and exemplary character of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) into their personal and collective lives.

In his message, President Zardari said followers of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) had a responsibility to foster justice, tolerance, interfaith and sectarian harmony, as well as respect for human dignity in society.

He also called on young people to seek inspiration from the Seerat of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and make knowledge, strong moral values, hard work and service to humanity the foundation of their lives.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said the life and teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) provided a comprehensive guide for the religious and worldly wellbeing and success of Muslims.

He said the blessed personality of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) represented the finest embodiment of the teachings of Islam.

The prime minister called upon the nation to renew its commitment to incorporating the Seerat-e-Tayyaba into their character, individual conduct and collective behaviour.

He also urged citizens to play their role in transforming Pakistan into a strong, prosperous, peaceful and welfare-oriented state.

The president and prime minister also prayed for peace, stability and prosperity in the country on the auspicious occasion.
