Shafaqna Pakistan: PTI has filed a contempt of court petition in the Supreme Court, alleging that its August 18, 2026 order regarding the transfer of party founder Imran Khan to a hospital was violated.
The petition calls for contempt proceedings against those allegedly responsible for failing to comply with the court’s directive.
PTI has asked the Supreme Court to issue show-cause notices to the respondents and other individuals accused of contempt and require them to appear before the court in person.
The party has also requested the court to declare the respondents guilty of contempt and impose punishment in accordance with the law.
The petition further seeks the immediate transfer of Imran Khan to Shifa International Hospital in Islamabad and his medical examination there.
PTI has also requested the appointment of a judicial officer or a local commission to ensure implementation of the court’s order.
The contempt petition was filed by Uzair Bhandari and Salman Akram Raja on behalf of PTI.
The Supreme Court has already adjourned the hearing of the case related to the matter until September 16.
