Shafaqna Pakistan: Iran’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Reza Amiri Moghadam, has expressed gratitude for Pakistan’s high-level participation in the funeral ceremony of Iran’s martyr Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
In a statement posted on X, the ambassador thanked the Pakistani government and people, specifically acknowledging Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the Field Marshal and the Deputy Prime Minister for attending the ceremony.
He also expressed appreciation for the participation of Senate Chairman Yousaf Raza Gilani, National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, as well as other senior government officials, religious scholars, political leaders and cultural figures.
He said Pakistan’s representation at the event reflected the longstanding friendship and mutual respect between the two neighbouring countries. He said the high-level participation highlighted the historic relationship and shared values that have shaped ties between Iran and Pakistan over the years.
Reza Amiri Moghadam added that the two countries have consistently stood by one another during both difficult and significant moments in their history. He expressed hope that the spirit of solidarity and cooperation between Iran and Pakistan would continue, praying for lasting peace, prosperity, and dignity for both nations. He also voiced the wish that bilateral relations would grow even stronger for future generations.
