Shafaqna Pakistan:- Rights groups and Muslim organisations have warned that Islamophobic violence is becoming increasingly widespread across the United Kingdom, calling for a stronger and more coordinated national response.
In the past month alone, a series of incidents—including firebomb attacks targeting mosques and homes, racist assaults, and acts of vandalism—have been reported across England, Scotland, and Northern Ireland.
One of the most prominent cases occurred in Edinburgh on June 19, where five men were injured in a series of attacks that police and political leaders said appeared to have been driven by anti-Muslim hatred.
Amnesty International said the situation has reached “emergency levels,” urging authorities to take decisive action to address the growing threat.
It said the Edinburgh attack is part of a much wider pattern of escalating racist and Islamophobic violence that needs “an urgent response” from the government and law enforcement.
