President Zardari arrives in Kyrgyzstan for official trip

Shafaqna Pakistan: President Asif Ali Zardari has arrived in the Kyrgyz Republic on a four-day official visit aimed at strengthening bilateral ties between the two countries.

He was received by Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov upon his arrival at Issyk-Kul International Airport, where a guard of honour was presented in his honour.

President Zardari is the first Pakistani head of state to visit the Kyrgyz Republic since former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto’s historic trip to the country in 1995.

During the visit, Presidents Zardari and Japarov will review the full spectrum of bilateral relations and discuss ways to further expand cooperation across areas of mutual interest.

The two leaders will discuss cooperation in trade, investment, energy, minerals, agriculture, education, health, tourism, the digital economy, and the promotion of people-to-people contacts.

They will also exchange views on strengthening the long-standing brotherly ties between Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan, as well as enhancing regional cooperation.
